Interesting to note that much of his original work was destroyed by a calendar company:
“Original works by this team [this artist and L.G. Woolfenden] are exceedingly scarce. The Thomas D. Murphy Calendar Company destroyed most of the paintings they based their prints off of to prevent images being stolen and then reused by rival calendar companies.”
So much for the business of fine art. “Song of the Nile” and the untitled painting (“Pharaoh’s Daughter”?) survive, it seems, and those are keepers for me.
