I only know that Julia Marlowe was an actress known for her interpretations of William Shakespeare. In 1905 Rouland portrayed Julia Marlowe as Fiammetta.

Souhern and Marlowe started an acting Co together in 1905 or 06 and Rouland painted portraits of Sothern (one is one your site) he did a pencil sketch of Marlowe as Ophelia and painting the portrait I have in 1906….I bought the painting at a thrift store and am curious to find out more details about it. Since there is little known information about it anywhere, I would imagine it to be very rare. If you hear of anything or run across anything in your research please don’t hesitate in posting something & i’ll do the same….. Thanks–
