Aaron studied with Louis Bouche at Tyler, with Hans Hoffman, and at the Barnes Foundation. His life-long friend and fellow painter David Levine died this last year. In addition to his portrait work, Aaron is an easel painter of note. I studied with him for a couple of years. In his teaching he was the sworn enemy of flashy brushwork (“rhetoric”) and excessive highlights, etc.
